Welcome to Sir Thomas Wharton Community College, a school where students are valued for who they are and for what they can give to the wider community.   • A big “Thank you” to Protocol Education Supply Agency who gave £400 in sponsorship to purchase Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for our sports day. Photo attached.
  • We’re really pleased to announce that we have achieved Artsmark Gold. The Arts Council said: “Your application demonstrated an excellent commitment to providing high quality arts provision that is embedded across your curriculum and we would like to congratulate you on the hard work and commitment that went into achieving this respected award”.
  • Congratulations to Charlotte Copley (Year 9) who has just passed her Grade 7 Singing Exam.
  • Wentworth House welcomed Ben Pacey on Friday 11 May. Ben is an ex-student who has been chosen to carry the Olympic Flame. Article & Pics attached.

  • Massive congratulations to Claudia Ridgeway, Nicole Miles and Emily Hewitt (Year 8) who were brilliant as they represented the school in the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition Final on Saturday 28 April 2012 at Glyndor University in Wrexham, North Wales. Photos attached.
